Tutor (Vulnerable People) – Barnsley - £31k + benefits

 

The ideal candidate would be someone from a College background who has taught a technical subject, cooking, plumbing, etc. in order to help vulnerable people learn new skills.

Ideally a retired tradesman. An enhanced CRB check would be required. Candidate needs to be able to drive and be able to drive a 16 seat minibus.

This person would also be creating the programmes that they teach.

 

Aim:

Develop, deliver and maintain an engaging and varied technical skills programme (e.g. woodwork, plumbing, cooking, car maintenance, horticulture, plastering and CSCS)

Deliver up to 16 hours of activity per week to groups of learners, in your specialist areas

Plan and resource (materials, sessional tutors, etc.) approximately 12 further hours of activity per week, in a variety of different technical skill areas

 

You must hold a minibus licence to apply for this position.
