Conveyancing Assistant – Leeds - £15.5k – £17.5K + benefits
Our legal client based in Leeds is currently looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 months Conveyancing experience.
Duties will include:
Providing support to fee earners, solicitors and partners.
Dealing with matters at all stages under supervision, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to archiving, in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
Opening new files and inputting new instructions onto the Case Management system and producing relevant letters and documents.
Dealing with incoming post where appropriate.
Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of fee earners and dealing with telephone, written and face to face enquiries as appropriate.
Updating the Case Management system in accordance with team procedures as the matter progresses.
General administration duties including filing, billing, faxing, photocopying, sorting post and archiving.
Maintain diaries and make appointments when required
Maintaining legal knowledge and skills
