2nd/3rd Line IT Support Engineers – Leeds – £22k - £29k + bonus + excellent benefits
Our client an extremely well established and successful national IT company; due to their continued success they are currently expanding their team and recruiting for experienced 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineers:
The Role
- You will be expected to provide 1st through to 3rd line technical support to assist and resolve issues that come into the service desk and act as a point of escalation for more challenging issues.
- Ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner
- Accurately log incidents and ensure all relevant data including accurate time stamps and status’ are recorded
- Respond and manage tickets accurately and provide end users with a technical solution
- Keeping users regularly updated throughout the life cycle of the Incident/Problem.
- Liaise with external service providers and third party vendors and manage the supplier/customer relationship.
Technical Knowledge Required
- Installation and Administration of Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012
- Installation and Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Polices, DNS, DHCP, WSUS
- Installation and Administration of Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 365
- Experience installing, managing and supporting Windows 7 / 8 /10, Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016,
- Application support of common windows applications and applications from vendors such as Adobe, Sage, Microsoft, MacAfee, Sophos, CCH
- Good knowledge of a range of AV, Web and Email Scanning Solutions
- Hosted Voice and VOIP solutions knowledge
- Networking knowledge covering LAN and WAN technologies
- Systems and performance monitoring i.e. PTRG, ConnectWise, SolarWinds
- Backup Monitoring and alerting
- Administrator of Virtualization software such as HyperV and VMWare
- Experience supporting a Citrix XenApp farm administration
Technical Knowledge Desirable
- Networking (Firewalls / Switches / Routers) configuration, upgrade and support
- SAN and Storage knowledge
- Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS and Nutanix
- Experience of working in a Data Centre environment
