Edgeband Operator - Dewsbury

We currently have opportunities for experienced Edgeband Machinists to join our client’s Machine Shop team, producing high volumes of MFC panels for kitchen cabinet assembly.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have experience of operating either single, double or combination Edgeband machines.

• Have the ability to program and edit files in accordance to company operating procedures.

• Be able to familiarise and own the machine parameters including tolerances and capabilities.

• Hold the knowledge of interpreting technical drawings in accordance to the product specification.

• Have the ability to work accurately within a high volume manufacturing environment.

• Be able to maintain a high standard of quality and have the ability to work to the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

• Be able to maintain an excellent level of productivity throughout the shift to meet production targets whilst observing quality issues.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of safe practices and excellent housekeeping in order to ensure a safe working environment. ( 6s )

• Have the ability to use own initiative.

Hours: 10:00 pm – 6:00am (night shift allowance is paid) OR

Weekly rotating – 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm

Pay: £7.58 per hour + 23% shift allowance
