- We are currently looking for aTraffic Manager to work within the Traffic Team for a well established firm in Halifax
Background:
Our client is one of the north's leading same day courier and transport firms. Our client work with all sorts of companies, from some of the UK's leading blue chip companies to small start-ups, in what is a fast paced and highly exciting market.
Role:
- The role involves the day to day traffic management and administration of our busy fleet, processing bookings and liaising with customers and drivers throughout the day.
- You will be trained on how to use our in-house booking system, how to process bookings and allocate drivers. In a short space of time you will develop a sound knowledge of UK general haulage.
- Experience of the transport industry is required
- You will need to be comfortable using PCs and the internet, and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- The job is fast paced and varied, with every day providing a fresh challenge and rewards. A calm temperament is an advantage.
