Financial Software Support Advisor – St. Leonards, Dorset - £24k - £30k

Our client is a specialist information technology consultancy and solution provider working in partnership with their clients. Specialising in accounting and management information systems

Due to continued growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit a Financial Software Support Advisor.

Job Role:

Successfully support customers using our clients financial software applications.

Manage support call priorities and support desk call volume.

Liaise with customers on issues as well as consultants, developers and management to ensure that support calls are resolved in a timely and professional manner.

A good telephone manner whilst working under pressure is essential.

Excellent writing skills to create accurate and grammatically correct emails.

Skills Required:

An understanding of accounts and business operations generally – covering Accounting Legders, Accounting transaction processing, Distribution, Job Costing, CRM, HR etc.

Interpret clients issues and communicate professionally with clients via phone and email.

To be able to prioritise support calls and your time.

To be able to communicate with suppliers and politely but persistently chase for call resolution.

To be able to contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the business.

To be able to understand clients business operations and how they can best use information systems.

Technical Skills:

To have an understanding of Accounting Systems

To have an understanding of the MS Office suite – particularly Excel

To have an understanding Databases

To have an understanding of reporting tools e.g. Crystal

An understanding of Windows server infrastructure would be useful, along with VM Ware.

Ideal qualifications:

To have a minimum 2-5 years experience of a similar role supporting or consulting in financial products similar to our clients system, such as Exchequer, Access accounts, SAP Business 1, Dynamics.

ITIL certification is not required but would be of interest.

The ability to be trained on any software that may be used or delivered by the company.
