- Credit Controller – London - up to £27,000 per annum + benefits
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will join a team of credit controllers each of whom work on and maintain their own retail accounts building effective working relationships.
You will need to be interested in managing and chasing debts and be able to show previous experience or ability to do this role. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are also essential as you will be liaising with third party suppliers, our customers, and staff at all levels from our retail management team to our International subsidiary companies.
In order to be a success in this role you will need a good working knowledge of Excel and be able to use formula. Experience in Dynamics D365 or similar is also an advantage.
Previous experience or relevant accounts or numeracy-based qualification or study is essential for career development.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a variety of accounts which will include International as well as UK accounts
- Investigating queries such as shortages and prices
- Obtaining POD’s for customers
- Chasing for payments
- Maintaining accurate spreadsheets
- Allocating cash/invoices and credits
- Preparing credits to raise
- Setting up new accounts
- Obtaining credit references
- Dealing with customers as well as internal members of staff
Skills Required
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts, interpreting data with speed as well as being able to pay attention to detail
- Competent in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook and experience of Microsoft D365 is an advantage
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- Good business judgement and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills -both oral and written
- Ability to resolve queries and disputes
- Ability to plan ahead and focus on daily routine and outcomes
- Possess integrity and good ethical conduct
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Reliability and flexibility as well as evidence of a good attendance record
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment under pressure
