Head of Finance – Birmingham - £45k - £50k + bonuses
 
Our client has an aggressive plan to expand across Europe over the next few years. One of the main goals of the company is to make money transfer safer and cheaper.
 
Reporting to the MD & CEO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the company’s overall accounting and financial matters, establishing company-wide objectives, policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices to ensure a continuously sound financial accounting structure.
 
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who is organised, punctual, and a strong team member with good communication skills.
 
Main duties:

• Prepare and implement financial planning across the whole organisation

• Control cash flow

• Support the accounting and financial functions

• Oversee budgeting and expense control

• Maintain financial relationships

• Ensure capital adequacy and safeguarding funds

• Establish and execute programs for the provision of capital required by the company, including negotiating the procurement of debt and equity capital and maintaining the required financial arrangements

• Coordinate long term and short term financial plans for the company

• Take responsibility for the financial aspects of all company transactions including contracts, and leases

• Prepare the required financial reports, ensure audits are completed in time and complete statutory accounts

• Responsible for compliance with financial regulations and standards

• Certified accountant or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or MBA

• 8-10 years management experience

• Willingness to travel

• Industry expertise including forex experience is desirable

• Yearly leave 28 days inclusive of bank holidays

• Annual bonus c. 12 - 15% of salary (eligible after 6 months’ service) depending on company results and personal performance
