Our client is a leading transport company covering the UK; due to their continued success they are currently expanding their team and recruiting for an experienced Transport Operative to join their office based in Halifax
Main responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Day to day traffic management and administration of the clients busy fleet
- Dealing with sub-contractors, processing bookings and liaising with customers and drivers throughout the day
- Using the companies in-house booking system to process bookings and allocate drivers – full training will be given
- Assist the company with frequent marketing campaigns
The successful candidate must possess the following skills / experience
- Experience within the transport industry is essential
- Must have a confident and co-operative telephone manner
- Be computer literate - comfortable using PCs and the internet and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Good UK geography knowledge
The successful candidate will also be eligible for our clients annual bonus (subject to company performance)
