Ofcom Compliance Manager – London
 
We are currently looking to recruit an Ofcom Compliance Manager based in London to ensure our clients products coming into the business meet compliance regulations in all advertising and ensure all advertising meets with regulatory guidelines across media and television advertising. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Work with the Product Development Team on products, providing comprehensive reviews and advice to ensure products will be compliant for UK market.
Advise on how changes to product may affect compliance and take necessary steps to ensure products and marketing materials are still compliant.
Submit TV commercial and infomercial scripts to Clearcast (TV clearance body), and work with Clearcast in order to achieve approval for broadcast on a wider selection of channels.
Co-ordinate relevant substantiation and evidence from product suppliers, to support claims made in all TV advertising prior to broadcast, to ensure the BCAP code is met at all times.
Advise on product testing requirements to support claims required for product substantiation.
Product clear and concise edit notes for the Production and Post Production Team to follow, in order to produce final compliant TV commercials and infomercials.
To keep an accurate record of all evidence obtained in relation to each product commercial or infomercial, including testimonial data, in a clear accessible format.
Working with the Heads of Product Development and Production to co-ordinate an accurate and achievable launch calendar for products going to broadcast, keeping all relevant departments up to date on any potential changes to launch timescales.
Ensure all material broadcast is compliant with the BCAP code. Keeping the scheduler up to date of any content issues.
Working with the Creative Director and Copywriter to ensure web copy is compliant with the CAP code
Provide compliance advice, guidance and substantiation when required to all areas of the business including but not limited to Business Development Manager as well as International, Production and Direct teams.
Defend any ASA complaints that arise from broadcast, social media and online advertising
Ensure our client is Ofcom compliant in relation to Media TV license. Undertaking an annual audit which pulls together all company Ofcom compliance requirements.
To keep up to date on broadcast regulation for TV and online advertising.
General department duties as required.
 
Experience Required: 
High standard of written English
Excellent communicator at all levels
Working knowledge of regulatory codes and their interpretation by ASA, BCAP, CAP, Ofcom & Clearcast
Experience of broadcast systems
Good organisational skills and administrative skills with the ability to manage your own workload
Confident, calm, able to succinctly express advice and maintain position
Ability to engage effectively and collaboratively with internal and external customers
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and handle multiple tasks on a daily basis
Previous experience in a regulatory environment is highly desirable
Commercial focus and experience of DRTV operations
