- Technical Sales Engineer (Electronics/ Computer Consumables) – Brighton - £20k - £25k basic + bonus
DUTIES
- Selling our clients products by building strong relationships within our existing customer base and by identifying new opportunities.
- Work as part of the business team with Product Management, Purchasing and Technical Support personnel, to ensure a full sales, support and service offering is provided to our customers
- Ensure that team and individual sales targets and objectives are achieved and exceeded.
- Accept and process all incoming enquiries, formulate solutions, quotations and responses within customer-defined time scales with timely follow up bringing them to a positive conclusion.
- Ensure customer orders, enquiries, quotations and contact information are entered accurately and promptly to the computer system.
- Manage customer complaints and objections in conjunction with the service and support teams
- Provide reporting and forecasting of your sales opportunities on a monthly basis
- Record and communicate new product suggestions and product decline indicators, to ensure our product range is kept up to date.
- Visit key customers, as required, to develop business opportunities. Attend exhibitions and PR functions, and be prepared to travel within the UK and overseas on business, as requested.
- Ensure that your product, technical and market knowledge is kept up to date.
- Build good working relationships with all colleagues/departments, including a duty to care and respect all co-workers. To participate fully as part of our clients team
- Ensure that ISO9001:2000 procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proven sales track record.
- In-depth product knowledge.
- Good organisational and communication skills.

Technical qualification or previous experience gained in a relevant subject or market.
