Web Developer – Keighley - £18k - £27k (dependent on experience) + benefits
Our client is a small, niche web design and programming company based in Keighley. In addition to web design they also host clients’ sites their our own Linux servers which they manage themselves. They also provide domain names, certificates and other cloud based services. Due to continued growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit a Web Developer, this could be a junior web developer based on a lower salary or an experienced web developer.
The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining online applications for their clients. You may be required to work with clients to determine the best solution, taking time and budgets into consideration. Your work will be neat and well documented, whilst being efficient and accurate.
Essential Skills
• Proven strong abilities with recent HTML, CSS
• Produce responsive and search-engine friendly websites
• Understand cross-browser issues and workarounds
• Good knowledge of CMS systems, especially Wordpress
• Good knowledge of E-Commerce systems, including OpenCart and WooCommerce
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Ability to modify and manipulate images and logos
Desirable Skills
• Third party APIs (e.g. Google, Facebook, SagePay, Worldpay, PayPal etc.)
• Linux shell
• Search Engine optimisation, analytics and marketing techniques
• SASS, LESS, Angular, MySQL, Git, Ionic2
