Job Purpose:

To make changes to our clients core system product; based on customer or internal requirements. To code new changes or adapt existing areas of the system.

Skills required:

• Programming qualified through experience or degree with programming content. (Delphi/C# and SQL competence would be a bonus).
• Good knowledge of any programming language (specific language training will be provided as necessary).
• Ability to learn databases (training will be provided as necessary).
• Ability to fix bugs (without introducing new issues) by reading/tracing and analysing existing code to find problem areas.
• Strong Keyboard skills.
• Ability to plan development changes and communicate potential problems, issues and risk areas associated with the changes.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To make programming changes to our clients core product.

• Complete allocated jobs within specified pre-agreed target times. Ensure escalations are made where necessary.

• Complete allocated jobs to a quality standard.

• Testing of own code changes.

• Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures in relation to confidentiality of client data and the Data Protection Act.

• Any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time be required.
