Our client is one of the UK’s leading IT specialists, based in Harrogate. Due to continual growth, they are looking for a talented and highly self-motivated Junior IT Technician. This position would suit an individual that is looking to enter into the IT workplace with excellent career progression.

Responsibilities

• Data and configuration erasure of all server and networking equipment in compliance with GDPR law
• Configure, build and test all configure-to-order servers and blades for sales orders
• Refurbishment of second user IT equipment to high company standards
• Provide technical support to the sales team, or any other team that may require it

Required Skills or Training

• Attention to detail - able to follow strict operational workflows
• Previous experience with server and networking technologies
• Ability to problem solve and use initiative
• Excellent understanding of IT component parts, or demonstrable desire to learn
• Organised approach to work
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience using Sage200, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office
• Some experience with server virtualisation, using software such as VMware, Hyper-V & Microsoft Virtual Server
• IT Certified; including CCNA, MTA, CompTIA, HPE ATP - all desirable
