Our client a well established financial firm are currently looking to recruit a Business Analysts/ Researcher.
The Role
You will be part of a dynamic team advising small to mid-size businesses and their owners and management considering a range of transactions including MBO’s, acquisitions, disposals and growth capital funding predominantly in the £5m to £25m deal size range. Your focus will be on providing support to the team throughout the transaction process with a view to developing the skills to assume greater responsibility and eventually manage corporate finance transactions.
This is a deadline driven environment with constantly changing priorities, and although there is no defined set of tasks, you will have specific involvement in:
- Assisting in pitch presentations through preparation of company and market research
- Researching potential buyer lists and acquisition targets on behalf of our clients
- Providing insightful analysis of commercial and financial information
- Working with team in the preparation of business plans and financial models
The successful candidate will be a bright and ambitious graduate or someone in the early stages of their finance career who is looking for an energetic environment with the scope to display initiative and creativity. Relevant experience and/or exposure to financial modelling is preferred, whilst and an analytical approach and proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint are essential.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate commercial awareness and although relevant experience is beneficial, the right attitude is most important and should include a strong work ethic and flexibility. Applicants should be able to demonstrate sound judgment, strong attention to detail, an organised approach and evidence of completing tasks to a high standard under pressure.
