Our client is an extremely well established and successful legal firm based in Sheffield; due to their continued success they are currently expanding their team and recruiting for an experienced File Administration Supervisor
The successful candidate will be working within the clients Residential Conveyancing Department; the role of this team is to provide a central resource to manage the file opening process and meet various regulatory requirements.
The team is responsible for new client and matter creations, adhering to strict quality and compliance guidelines. Main responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Day to day monitoring of the workloads coming into the team, ensuring best practice is adhered to and that the team remains operationally efficient at all time
- Carrying out ID checks and acting on any adverse information in accordance with firm’s policies
- Liaising with Lawyers and Secretaries in relation to conflict checks and accurately inputting information and managing records
This is a very “hands on” role, it is process driven role and would suit individuals who work well with policy and procedures and can work methodically. High attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the Firm’s obligations towards quality and compliance is essential for candidates to succeed, as are good organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
All candidates must possess the following:
- Experience of working in an operational role and in a supervisory capacity is advantageous.
- Experience of working in a solicitor’s practice in a similar administration role.
- Fast and accurate typing with a minimum speed of 40 wpm.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
