Our client requires a Product Development Coordinator to play an integral part in the product development process concentrating on products for our clients group – both for our retail and direct to consumer businesses.
Reporting to the Head of Product Development you will play a key role in managing product updates through a product executive tracker for Senior management.
You will also take charge of preparing and managing product decks, pricing index, new product launch reviews, product selection memos, product critical paths (stage 3), managing the firm sale product list, and product marketing research.
This is a pivot role between Product Development and other internal department and comes with plenty of responsibility and requires a proactive “can-do” attitude from someone who is able to hit the ground running. To do this job well you will be highly organised and highly efficient. Previous experience of product/project management or product marketing may be useful. Excellent communication skills are required to enable you to communicate effectively at all levels building strong credible relationships quickly. Above all, you will be personable and a team player.
Duties include:
- Proactively prepare and produce supporting materials and documents for all presentations and meetings for Senior Product Development management team.
- Carrying out background research for Product Development including market research on product categories, US infomercial products and live teleshopping.
- Monitoring competitor websites and highlighting new products and offers.
- Updating and maintaining the Product Development Group Memo
- Proactively carry out market research– comparing new products on the memo with products already available on the market.
- Taking minutes in the Product Development meetings when required
- Maintenance of the Product Development Tradeshow calendar.
- Helping put together itineraries and tradeshow booth guides for trips to the Far East and other tradeshows.
- Assistance creating product cost sheets
- Ad-hoc duties working alongside the Head of Product Development.
Skills Required:
- Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management.
- Excellent business writing skills including taking minutes and preparing for meetings.
- Excellent planning, organising and attention to detail whilst being able to deliver work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to motivate others to deliver results to ensure work is produced on time.

- Calmness under pressure and work well as team player.
- Commercial focus and experience of selling product
- Computer skills – including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a bonus but not essential.
- Ability to filter information and assess priorities.
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.
